Yogyakarta to Host ASEAN Tourism Forum in 2023

Yogyakarta, Early in February, from February 2 to February 5, Yogyakarta is scheduled to host the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF). The event intends to welcome 10 ASEAN nations and five other countries as special invites, according to Singgih Raharjo, head of the local tourism bureau.

On November 29, Singgih stated, “There are main events and secondary events that are being planned and prepared.”

There will be two primary themes for the event, with the first being the gathering of tourism ministers from 10 ASEAN countries and tourism ministers from five invited countries such as China, South Korea, Japan, India, and Russia.

The Marriot Hotel in Sleman, Yogyakarta is where this inter-ministerial gathering is scheduled to take place.

A joint declaration for collaboration in the development of tourism and the creative economy will be made at the conclusion of this inter-ministerial event, according to Singgih.

The Travel Exchange, which will take place at the Bantul Regency at Yogyakarta’s Jogja Exhibition Center (JEC), will be the second item on the ASEAN Tourism Forum’s program. It will take the shape of exhibitions from tourism-related enterprises.

25 nations have formally committed to taking part in this trip exchange, he said.
